Alfonso, originally from Peru, has an MBA in International Hospitality with a Marketing focus from Glion Institute in Switzerland. With over 5 years of experience, based in Thailand, he developed a strong set of skills in digital marketing and social media optimisation, becoming the person responsible for the social media strategy for Minor Hotels worldwide. Currently, as the Director of Digital and Ecommerce for Minor Hotels - Europe and Latin America, based in Lisbon, he drives the online strategy for the group in the region.

Since moving to Europe, his focus has been on generating awareness and revenue via direct channels as well as managing third-party websites performance. By merging and balancing both he has been able to position Tivoli Hotels & Resorts and the other recently re-branded properties to stay ahead of the existing technological trends and on top of the competitive hotel market.
Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor currently with 157 hotels in operation in 24 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.
